It's Monday, What Are you Reading? (#114)
It's Monday, What are you reading? is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books to list the books completed last week, the books currently being read and the books to be finished this week.
Hey Everyone,
Well I know it's already Tuesday but yesterday got so busy I completely forgot to post about the books I've read in the past week, so beter late then never, right? So let's take a look at the books, which ahve entertained me last week:
Books I completed
(Book #1 in the Love Undercover series)
This was the second book I read from Samanthe Beck and she is truly no one-wonder author! You should try her books and keep your eye on her, trust me ;-) Our dual review will be posted at Book Lovers next week and until then you can also win a copy of Lover Undercover on the blog right now.
(Book #5 in the Fairy Tales series)
- - Book Depository
I was in the mood for a historical romance after my contemporary spell and when I glimpsed this newest release of Eloisa James I knew I wanted to read it. was my favourite Eloisa James novel so far. I really liked the hero and heroine, and their interactions and the way Eloisa James incorporated details of the fairy tale of Rapunzel was ingenious. Detailed review to be posted closer to release date (May 28).
(Book #1 in the Pleasure Wars series)
I was lucky to read this first novel in Jess Michales' brand new historical romance series (to be released on July 2), which centers around a Regency (and erotic) Romeo and Juliet retelling. I enjoyed it a lot and can't wait to read the next books in the series! My review will be posted closer to the release date.
Seriously this book was the best and most unexpected surprise I had last week! Based on the blurb I was expecting a () retelling, but was so different! I loved the author's writing style, it was captivating and I devoured the novel in no time. All the characters were wonderful and well-fleshed out, and I can't wait to read more by Diana Quincy! Please tell me her next release will be soon. very soon! My detailed review will be posted next week.
Books I'm currently reading
I just noticed I haven't read this sexy culinary romance by Jennifer Probst yet so I'll dive in right away.
I wasn't in the mood for the simpering spoiled heroine of so I put it down last week, we'll see if I'll pick it up and continue reading, I really don't like the heroine and so far the characterization of the hero is equally shallow and inconsistent...
Books I can't wait to start
And what are you reading this week?
