Just yesterday I devoured a short little novella that packed more heat and sensuality than its mere 51 pages would have made me expect, so head my words and pick up , which got released today by Entangled Flirt if you are in the mood for a quick, well written delicious bite of a story ;-) And to whet your appetite join me as I get to interview its author, the lovely Cathryn Fox!

Stella: Hi Cathryn, welcome to Ex Libris! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?

Cathryn: Hi Stella, thanks for having me. Ah, what to tell. Well, I’m a wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend. I loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (I never says no to a brownie) red wine and watermelon. I have two kids in university and a husband who is convinced he can turn me into a mixed martial arts fan. I can never find balance in my life, am always trying to find time to go to the gym, can never keep up with emails, Facebook or Twitter and try to write page-turning books that my readers will love. I was a financial officer in my other life and have lived all over Canada but have finally settled down in my childhood hometown with my family.

Stella: Your latest novel is a short and very hot read released today by Entangled Publishing, congratulations! Can you tell readers what they can expect of it?

Cathryn: If a reader doesn’t have much time, but wants to sneak in an afternoon quickie, or a fast beach read, then this is the book for them. It’s a fun, sexy, fast paced read, yet still contains all the emotional elements that make for a satisfy romance!

Stella:  is extremely short, what were the hardships/challenges of telling a story in only 51 pages? Why did you choose to write with such length limitations?

Cathryn: These two characters knew each other for a long time, so I didn’t have to spend time showing the growing physical or emotional connection. They already had that. I just had to show Eden pushing the limits on both, so she could finally get Jay to open up to her. I told the story that needed to be told, fulfilling all physical and emotional requirements, and it simply came in at that length.

Stella: And if you could have your dream cast who would play them?

Cathryn: Well for Jay, I’d love to have Henry Cavill, and for Eden, Amanda Seyfried.

Stella: Great choices! :-) Do you have a favorite scene in ? (Or which one was the hardest to write?)

Cathryn: I love the opening when Eden is coaxing Jay to rehearse with her, and I especially love when he calls her out on the lines in the script.

Stella: Can you share with us some little secret trivia connected to the writing of (a scene/character that did not end up in the final version, a real person inspiring a character, scene, what gave you initial idea for the story, etc.)?

Cathryn: I absolutely love friends to lovers stories, so when I sat down to think about writing my next story, this sweet, or not so sweet, farm girl came to mind. For the last thirteen years I lived in farm country, and I know farm girls work hard and are TOUGH! So I wanted to draw on that when I told my story.

Stella: You have already written and published several dozens of books, what made you decide to bring to Entangled Publishing?

Cathryn: Entangled publishing is dynamic, author friendly publisher that is really making its mark in the publishing world. I love how they treat and connect with each and every author. They also give each book, no matter the length, the attention it deserves and we get to work with an amazing publicity team to set up interviews and blog tours. Entangled is a great place to be!

Stella: What shall we expect from you, what is next on your schedule?

Cathryn: Up next is the rerelease of , , and (May 21st). After that my story, TEACH ME, will be released in on June 25tth, and then in July, TEMPERATURE RISING will be a part of the collection edited by Delilah Devlin and published by Cleis Press. July 17, I will also be releasing BEDDING DOWN, book two in my WEEKEND COWBOYS series.

Stella: Can you share with us some little secret trivia, something that not many people know about you?

Cathryn: Well, yes, I could…but I probably shouldn’t. :-)
